ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
T Allen Engineering Services Ltd is committed to the adoption of environmentally responsible policies and practices, together with a regular review of both its performance and scope for further environmental improvements. T Allen Engineering Services Ltd aims, through continuous staff awareness, to create and maintain the highest levels of environmental responsibility, we are committed to continual improving, preventing and reducing pollution.
T Allen Engineering Services Ltd maintains a fundamental belief in the importance of protecting the environment, and will take all necessary steps within its power to eliminate, or control, environmental hazards by;
- Striving to adopt the highest possible environmental standards in all its operations, wherever these are located.
- Aiming to use the most economical use of all materials, supplies and energy, using renewable or recycled materials wherever possible.
- Keeping itself fully informed of best practices elsewhere and compliance with environmental legal and any other requirements.
- Minimising waste produced in all parts of the business, inclusion of recycled materials and the methods for environmentally acceptable disposal of materials as necessary.
- We shall consistently comply with applicable legal requirements to which T Allen Engineering Services Ltd subscribes relating to our environmental aspects.
- Encouraging employee involvement in positive environmental action. Regularly assessing the environmental impact of all its operations.
- All T Allen Engineering Services Ltd staff have a responsibility towards the environment in which they live and work, a responsible attitude and commitment to the Company’s environmental objectives are expected.
- Our environmental objectives and targets shall be reviewed on an as and when basis and formally reviewed at each annual management review of the environmental management system.
- Our environmental policy shall be available to all interested parties via the organisations web site.
HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY
It is the policy of T Allen Engineering Services Ltd to take all measures which are reasonably practicable to:-
- Ensure the health, safety and welfare of all persons at work and
- Protect employees, visitors to premises and the public generally against the risk to their health and safety at work which may arise from the organisations activities.
The organisation undertakes to provide the necessary resources and seeks the co-operation from all persons at work with a view to implementing the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and all statutory relevant provisions as a minimum.
The Managing Director has the overall responsibility for the implementation of this health and safety policy, however the company has appointed a competent health and safety manager as an appointed person for the organisations health and safety. All staff including managers, supervisors and employees must accept responsibility for the Health and Safety at work for employees and others under their control.
The Organisation undertakes so far as reasonably practicable;
- to provide and maintain equipment and systems of work that are safe and without risk to health.
- to ensure the safe handling, storage, use and transport of articles and substances.
- to provide such information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to ensure the health and safety of all persons at work.
- to maintain all places of work that are in a condition that is safe and without risks to health.
- to provide a working environment for persons at work that is safe and without risks to health, including adequate arrangements for employees’ welfare.
- to define the responsibilities for health and safety for all persons at work.
- to promote joint consultation and employee involvement in health and safety at work.
- to identify any hazards that may exist, and bring these hazards together with necessary precautions to the attention of persons at work.
- to record and investigate accidents and the causes of occupational ill-health.
To support this commitment, the company’s Health and Safety management system shall comply with the requirements of ISO 45001. As part of continual improvement, the health and safety performance of the business is reviewed and audited on a regular basis and discussed by top level management where objectives and targets for continual improvement are set. This Health and Safety Policy is available to all interested parties via the company web site.
